7 Questions

Since I have been overwhelmed this week with our SC Church Training, posting a new blog has been pushed way down the "to do" list. But knowing that I need to keep new information flowing, I've decided to promote myself and direct you to another blog. I was requested to respond to 7 questions from a missionary perspective. You can read my responses by clicking "HERE".

Great replies to those 7 questions, Ken. Especially I liked:

"The pressure to produce converts is not felt from Richmond but hearing the cries of the millions of lost people in the world today that still do not know Jesus. We should feel pressure to see more new believers and more new churches."

Amen... I think missionaries can easily confuse the IMB's efforts to help them be effective (something they apparently hope and pray to be when they came, and then stay on the field), as pressure to have numbers. The IMB's numbers don't matter and our numbers are so good that I am not personally concerned about our reports and help our missionaries under report anything they are not confident about. But the pressure, that internal pressure from knowing the lostness and our role to confront it, may that never go away til we meet Jesus (and even then we may yearn to be part of the salvation process again)!
